The sanctuary helps donkeys, horses and other animals in need of medical treatment.
Mission
The organization was established in the year 2000 with the aim of assisting thousands of donkeys from Israel and the Palestinian territories.
Today, their shelter in Israel provides lifelong care for over 200 donkeys (of all ages) who were exploited or abandoned.
The charity work does not stop at the shelter's gates: Every month, their mobile clinic helps 500 worker donkeys, mules and horses across Israel and the Palestinian territories.
The sanctuary needs Donations and volunteers. You can also virtually adopt a donkey. There are 23 donkeys available for adoption. Berri seen in the picture is one of them. Soldiers found him in Otef Aza after October 7. He was wondering around in the firing zone. He was only 5 months old and undernourished. Now he is doing well, he has new friends in the sanctuaries. But the costs are high, adopting is a great way to help and feel a personal connection to the rescued donkeys.
